Kalichakra (Metarhizium anisopliae) is an eco-friendly biological insecticide. It can effectively control insects pests like white grub and root grub, loopers, cutworms and sucking pest etc."Beauveria bassiana conidia present in Daman produces enzymes to penetrate the skin of the insect. Once it grows inside the insect, releases toxin called Beauvericin and Oosporin that weakens the host’s immune system.
Eventually the entire insect body cavity is filled with fungal mass. Insects, before death exhibit various symptoms including restlessness, cessation of feeding and loss of coordination
