Mahastra contains bacteria Bacillus thuringiensis Var. Kurstaki (Bt) that produces proteins called Cry toxins. When insects eat plants treated with Mahastra, they also consume these Cry toxins. Once inside the insect's gut, the Cry toxins bind to specific receptors and form holes in the cell membrane, which leads to the insect's death. Mahastra is an effective, natural way to control insect pests without harming the environment or other organisms.
